The mission of the West Seneca Central School District Physical Education program is to provide each student with the opportunity to develop positive character traits, understand and appreciate the importance of lifetime fitness and wellness through a variety of physical activities, and also have the knowledge and ability to organize activities as well as access and utilize community resources.
All students registered in the schools of New York State are REQUIRED by New York State Educational Law and the Commissioner's Regulations to attend courses of instruction in Physical Education (No Exemptions). These courses must be adapted to meet individual needs if the student has medical limitations. This means that a student who is unable to participate fully in their Physical Education program must have activities modified to meet his/her needs. Written assignments will not be given as a substitute for classes.
