The Human Resources Department supports the District's "Nurturing Our Full Potential" by facilitating the recruiting and hiring of enthusiastic and dedicated staff in the schools, programs and departments in the District. Working as partners in the education of our students, we provide support to our staff in areas such as benefits, labor/management relationships, graduate credits and salaries. In addition, this department is the resource for issues such as contract administration, employee leaves, resignations, retirements, postings, substitute requests and other general information.

Teacher Qualifications
Information Regarding Teacher Qualifications -In accordance with the federal Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), parents have the right to request information regarding the professional qualifications of their child's classroom teachers. Specifically, they have the right to request the following information concerning the child's teachers and to receive the information in a timely manner after making a request:
* Whether the teacher has met New York State qualifications and licensing criteria for the grade levels and subject areas he or she teaches;
* Whether the teacher is teaching under emergency or other provisional status under which state qualification or licensing criteria have been waived;
* Whether the teacher is teaching in the field of discipline of the teacher's certification;
* Whether the parent's child receives services from any instructional assistants or similar paraprofessionals, and if so, the qualifications for those individuals.

APPR Final Ratings
Disclosure of APPR Final Ratings to Parents/Legal Guardians - In accordance with New York State Education Law and applicable regulations, parents and legal guardians have the right to request and receive the final quality rating for each of the teachers and the principal of the school building to which their child is assigned for the current school year. When final quality ratings are provided, the District will also provide an oral or written explanation of the final quality ratings, and offer opportunities for the parent/legal guardian to understand them in the context of teacher evaluation and student performance. Requests for final quality ratings may be directed to:
