June Exam Information
When:
June Regents examinations and many school exams will be held June 15-23 (a copy of the examination schedule is included in this mailing). Only those students who are scheduled for an exam or are attending a teacher review session should report to school on exam days.
Buses:
Those students with examinations will ride to school according to the following schedule:
A.M.: Ride the usual morning bus from the same stop and time as on a regular
school day.
P.M.: Buses will transport students from home to school at their usual stop
between 11:10 and 11:30.
Students who finish examinations will be transported home from school according to the following schedule:
A.M.: 10:10 A.M. 6 buses will be at the flagpole with a list of the stops on the windows.
11:10 A.M. All buses will be on all levels.
P.M.: 2:10 P.M. All buses will be on all levels.
3:10 P.M. 4 buses will be at the flagpole.
Student Closing Responsibilities:
Students must return all textbooks and class materials to their teachers. No textbooks are to be left in lockers after June 14th. We will hold all records (fourth quarter report cards and diplomas) of students who owe textbooks, textbook fines, library materials or other items which teachers have specified for return.
Students are expected to completely clean out their lockers (removing any hanging materials such as photos. Locker clean out will begin on Monday June 6th and end on Tuesday June 14th. We will begin opening and vacuuming lockers, as well as changing combinations beginning June 15th. Students will be called back into school to clean lockers if their interiors have been marked. Any materials left in the locker after June 16th will be donated to a local charity or discarded.
Preparation:
Students must approach local school exams, final exams in semester courses and Regents examinations in a serious, purposeful manner. Study and preparation are essential to success. Several study sessions spaced over the days immediately preceding any examination will pay huge dividends in terms of knowledge retention and test-taking confidence.
A good night's sleep and a healthy meal before the examination are vital to student alertness on the day of the examination.
Good Luck to All Students... But...You can make your own good luck through careful study!
