West General Bookstore opened October 5, 2009, under the supervision of Life Skills Teacher Mr. Thomas Shriver. In its early stages, it operated out of an oversized "closet" in the front foyer.  As business expanded, it was clear we needed more space, and that led to the creation of our present location near cafe A/B.

West General gives West students the opportunity to learn practical, everyday tasks, such as marketing, advertising, retail and wholesale pricing, and a variety of social skills. Students learn what it's like to work at a job, take pride in what they do, and provide a service to the school community.

We are proud to announce West General has expanded to include the new West Café!  Patrons can now enjoy a cup of premium coffee, no added sugar hot chocolate, and several varieties of  teas.  All hot items are served at the side window of West General inside café A/B. 

At our large window facing the gym,  West General currently carries a wide variety of school logo clothing and gear. West General takes pride in offering healthy snacks and drinks.   

This year, we are happy to announce we are back open to regular hours! West General is run by Life Skills students under the supervision of Ms. Kristen Willman and Ms. Rio Harden. Stop by and see all that West General & West Café  has to offer.  You'll be glad you did!
