• Driver Education Program

    Driver’s Education is now offered through West Seneca Community Education. 

    Driving instruction is through Hoffman's Driving Academy. 

    Spring 2025 session commences week of March 31

    -Program consists of 16 classroom sessions (twice per week) & 16 in-car instruction sessions (twice per week)

    -No class during April break (April 14 - April 21) or Memorial Day (May 26)

    -Classroom instruction takes place at West Senior High School

    -Driving instruction pick-up/drop-off will be at the front main entrance of West Senior High School

    *Register for a Classroom session of your choice (Select from two options)

    *Policy acknowledgments and driving session preferences will be selected during registration

    Registration Opens March 3rd & Closes March 23rd

    Students must have a valid New York State permit or License prior to class.

    Cost: $875

    (Out-of-district fee: $5)

    The New York State Department of Education requires that each student attend

    24 hours of classroom instruction & 24 hours of laboratory in-car instruction.

    -Classroom instruction will take place on campus at West Senior

    -Each student will have in-car instruction in groups of up to 4 students

     

    Benefits of Driver’s Education:

     

    -Completion of the course satisfies the 20-hour graduated license requirement

    -When a student turns 17 (as opposed to 18), they can drive after 9:00 pm

    -May allow a discount on auto insurance, depending on insurance company
