• The SMART SCHOOLS BOND ACT OF 2014 was passed in the 2014-2015 Enacted Budget and approved by New York State voters in November of 2014.  The Smart Schools Bond Act authorized $2 billion of general obligation bonds to upgrade educational technology across the state.

The West Seneca CSD's Smart Schools Bond Act Allocation was $4,195,952.  Preliminary plans and public hearings were conducted and the final Smart Schools Investment Plan was adopted by the Board of Education on May 7, 2018.  This entailed capital improvement projects involving technology and security upgrades to our high schools and elementary buildings.

The SMART SCHOOLS INVESTMENT PLAN #2 is proposed to utilize the remaining funds, $602,651, to install High-Tech Security cameras and related software at West Seneca West Middle and East Middle Schools.  The system design will parallel and coordinate with the high and elementary school installations.  Please review the following information.
