Bracelet Making Club
Club Advisor: Mrs. Danner - Room 26
Join us to get creative and make your own unique bracelets! In this club, you'll learn different bracelet-making techniques using colorful strings, beads, and charms. It's a fun way to express your style, relax with friends, and maybe even make a few bracelets to share or trade. No experience needed - just bring your creativity!

Builder's Club
Club Advisor: Mrs. Diez - Student Support Center
Open to all grade levels, Builder's Club is an opportunity to build friendships, practice team building, and build strong leaders at East Middle, while doing various building projects and activities. Destination Imagination (DI) Club
Club Advisor: Mrs. Zimmerman - Room 23
This club is facilitated by Mrs. Zimmerman, and encourages students to use their imagination to solve challenges and work as a team. The club is open to all students in grades 6,7, and 8. The first part of the club welcomes everyone and engages students in short term challenges to solve problems in a given amount of time. Then, seven students get the opportunity to tackle a long term challenge and compete on the East Middle 2025-2026 Competitive Team. Meetings begin in just a couple of weeks and are held on most Wednesdays from 2:30 to 3:30pm leading up to a local competition typically held at Clarence Middle School in March. If students place first or second, they move on to the state competition in Binghamton, NY. If they place first or second at states, they advance to the Global Competition, which is held in Kansas City. Stay tuned to East Middle's morning announcements for the late October start date.

Drama Club

Students are provided a workshop based setting to become acclimated and comfortable with all aspects of theater. Field trip to Shea's or other show locations yearly.

Jazz Band
Club Advisor: Mrs. Pomietlarz - Room 119
Jazz Band is a group that meets before school at 7:15am on Thursday mornings. We play music in a rock or jazz style. The typical instruments in a jazz band are saxes, trumpets, trombones, drum set, guitar and bass. Please see Mrs. Pomietlarz if interested.

Lego Club

Lego Club will meet once a month during winter and spring months. Open to all students in grades 6-8. Join us if interested!

Math League
Club Facilitator: Mrs. Nuwer - Room 20
This is a club for 6th grade students. Students participate in a National Math Club where math enrichment is fun, social and supportive! The goal of this club is to advance the study of mathematics for those students whose passion is MATH. Students participate in a Math Challenges contest against other clubs around the country.

Movie Magic Club

This club will start during Semester 2. Movie Magic Club produces clips of East Middle events to share with our future students.

Musical
Club Advisors: Mrs. DiLoro, Ms. Palmer and Mrs. Leahy
Musical is open to students in grades 6-8. Every year, a full-on musical production with approximately 100 students involved on stage and behind the scenes is produced. For more information, speak with Mrs. DiLoro, Ms. Palmer or Mrs. Leahy.

Newspaper Club
Club Advisors: Mrs. Schubring - Room 213 and Mr. Komosinski - Room 203
Helps keep students, parents, and staff informed about all the sports, clubs, events, and people at East Middle School! During meetings, students will brainstorm article ideas, draft questions, write articles, and work together to create issues of a digital newspaper. Newspaper Club meets weekly in Room 203.

STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) Club
Club Advisor: Mrs. Zimmerman - Room 23
East Middle's STEM Club is directed by Mrs. Zimmerman and kicks off again in January 2026. The club meets on most Tuesdays from 2:30-3:30pm. Students are engaged in a variety of activities related to Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. In fact, some of the STEM-related ideas come from students in the club themselves. If you can think of an idea, we can try it! One of last year's highlights was making an electronic bird. One was engineered so well, it took flight right over our East Middle building! Stay tuned to East Middle's morning announcements for the January start date.

A group of 8th grade students chosen by their classmates to organize extracurricular and service activities to improve the school and community.

Tech Club
Club Advisor: Mr. Szpylman - Room 124
Tech Club will be building electric go-karts that can be ridden by the students. There will be an East Middle Grand Prix after the vehicles are built.

Vocal Jazz
Club Advisor: Ms. Palmer - Room 14
Vocal Jazz will be meeting in the aud on Tuesday mornings at 7:00 am beginning in October. Vocal Jazz explores genre and performance - including improvisation! We also go to venues outside of school for performances!

Under the direction of Mrs. Newberry, you will have hands-on experience with creating, layouts and taking photos to be input in the school yearbook!

We are a History, Government and Geography organization at West Seneca East Middle for 7th and 8th grade students. It is the goal of the organization to further understanding of history, government and geography in its members and a school as a whole. With this goal in mind, Yorkers will act as a service organization throughout the community of West Seneca.
