If you need to report an absence, please call 716-677-3299.  You can leave a message at any time, day or night.  Please leave the student's name, reason for absence and a number where you can be contacted.

1.  Excused/Unexcused Absences -- Any absence other than those listed is considered unexcused: sickness, quarantine, attendance in court, child's attendance at a health clinic, impassable roads or weather (unless busses are running), sickness or death in the family, religious observance.

2.  Unexcused Absences -- If your child is not going to be in school for an extended period of time, you must notify the building principal and your child's teacher in writing prior to leaving.  Parents are required by law to send a written excuse for every absence.  The excuse should include the following information:  child's name, the dates and reason for absence and the parent's signature.

3.  Absence from Physical Education -- Your child must bring a note to be excused from Physical Education class.  If the excuse is for longer than a week, a doctor's note is required.
