Best Community for Music Education - AGAIN

West Seneca Music Department has been designated a “Best Community for Music Education, 2024”!

This marks the Eleventh time in recent years - and the Eighthconsecutive year - that the West Seneca Music Department has received this designation! We are extremely excited and proud to receive this honor!

"In its 25th year, Best Communities for Music Education is a signature program of The NAMM Foundation that recognizes and celebrates school districts and schools for their support of, and commitment to, music education, as well as efforts to assure access to music for all students as part of a well-rounded education. The award program recognizes outstanding efforts by teachers, administrators, parents, students and community leaders, who have made music education part of a well-rounded education. Designations are made to districts and schools that demonstrate an exceptionally high commitment and access to music education. The award highlights music as a national education issue and shows what your school or community is doing to provide opportunities for music learning.”

Receiving this designation also serves as a reminder that programs, such as ours, can only happen with support from all stakeholders. Support can look different in many ways, whether by attending performances, commitment to developing and maintaining a rigorous curriculum, investments in our performing arts spaces and infrastructure, staffing, and instrument inventory. Thank you to our West Seneca Board of Education members, administrators, teachers, support staff, parents and community members for your continued, outstanding support of our music department! We are humbled and proud to be recognized among the top music departments in our country.
