Elementary schools receive PPE

Joseph Cantafio, president of the West Seneca Teachers Association, traveled to the district's five elementary buildings Dec. 16 with representatives from BlueCross BlueShield of Western New York and the Buffalo Sabres to deliver personal protective equipment kits for when students return to the classroom.
BlueCross BlueShield has partnered with the Buffalo Sabres to provide PPE for students and teachers for their safe return. Over 10,000 PPE kits have been distributed across Western New York with hundreds delivered for students at West Seneca's elementary schools.
The Buffalo Sabres created a video specifically for the West Seneca Central School District that will be shared with students, encouraging them to wear a mask, wash their hands and stay at a safe distance from others. Accompanying posters will be hung in the district's nine school buildings.
Cantafio said BlueCross BlueShield has a long standing association with the West Seneca Teachers Association.
"WSTA appreciates our relationship and the support that BlueCrossBlueShield gives to our community, teachers, and schools. We miss our students and are looking forward to their safe return," Cantafio said. "Special thank you to Karl Chordora from BCBS and Caroline Muszynski, Plan Administrator WSTA Benefit Trust."
