School Psychology is involved with the cognitive, emotional, adaptive, academic and behavioral development of children. School psychologists use a wide variety of assessment tools, strategies and interventions to help children achieve their true potential.
Within the West Seneca School District an evidence based approach is used to help identify, promote positive change and support a child's academic success.
The evidence based approach is based upon data derived from a number of sources (e.g. parents, teachers, standardized tests, and self reports).
Once data has been collected it is compared to different theories regarding childhood development to develop interventions to help address the presenting concern.
