Assistant Principal's Message
I hope each and every one of you have been enjoying a productive yet relaxing summer with family and friends. It's hard to believe that the 2018 - 2019 school year is already upon us! By now, some of our sports teams have begun practicing and our players are visibly excited about the fast approaching Fall Athletic season. I also love that our students have been working on their summer reading over the past two months to help prepare for the start of a new school year and stay connected to their academics. These types of activities are vital toward student growth and success and our West Middle students are already doing a great job of being involved!
The First Day of School begins on Wednesday, September 5th and our team at West Middle has been very busy getting ready for the start of a new year. September is a month filled with a great deal of tremendous opportunities for our students to become re-acclimated to school and to explore new and exciting interests. Our 7th and 8th Grade Open House will be held on Wednesday, September 12th from 6:00 - 8:00pm and our School Pictures will take place during the school day on September 13th and 14th. The West Middle Book Fair hosted by our PTSA and our Librarian will be held on September 27th and 28th and is great time to discover new literary interests. All of the referenced dates can also be found under the Important Dates link on the left-hand side of our webpage.
Last but not least, our 3rd Annual WestFest will take place on Friday, September 28th. We will have food trucks and snacks, as well as loads of free fun activities and games for our students. We hope to see you there! As always, our team is available in the main office to answer any questions that you may have. We look forward to seeing you soon!
