James Sipior - School Psychologist


    Mr. Sipior is a School Psychologist who services both Northwood and Winchester Elementary Schools.  Contact information is as follows: 

    In the West Seneca Schools, Mr. Sipior is responsible for many aspects of student supports, including:
    • psycho-educational evaluations
    • chairing CSE reviews
    • serving on building level Response to Intervention Teams
    • creating 504 Accommodation Plans
    • completing Functional Behavioral Assessments and Behavior Intervention Plans
    • consulting with staff and outside agencies
    • providing information to parents
    • offering parent workshops       
    Mr. Sipior is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist, and has over 34 years of experience in school psychology, 30 of which have been in the West Seneca Schools.  He serves as Department Leader of the School Psychology Department in Pupil Services.   
    Mr. Sipior is past Chairperson of the Western New York School Psychologists Association, and is a member of the New York State School Psychologists Association.  He was recognized by the New York State School Psychologists Association in 2012 with the Gil Trachtman Leadership in School Psychology Award, which recognizes significant contributions to the field of School Psychology.  He is a member of the National Association of School Psychologists and maintains National Certification.  
    Mr. Sipior has been a guest speaker at local colleges and organizations presenting on children's learning styles, educational accommodations and modifications, as well as the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People and the Leader In Me process.
