Welcome to Art at Allendale!

What an exciting year we have ahead of us!
During art class, we will explore various art mediums, artists, styles and techniques.

In addition to being an art teacher, I am also the District Coordinator for the Art Department in West Seneca.

    Important things to know:
Meeting times: We meet for art once a week for 40 minutes.

All student artwork will come home at the end of the school year in a portfolio. Art portfolio's are used for a variety of reasons:

    •  Allows me to assess your child's progress throughout the school year.
    • Access to artwork for school art shows and bulletin board displays.
    • Keeps artwork safe.

    Art Club: TBD

Art Shows:  We have 2 art shows every year: The District Art show is where each school has artwork on display from about 20 students. Also, Allendale's spring learning night is annually held in May. A piece of artwork is hung up from each student artist. More information will be given about these events at a later date.

Artwork for the District Calendar: Every year one student is chosen from each school in West Seneca to have their artwork published in the District calendar. A letter will be sent home if your child is chosen.

West Elementary:  I am at WE once a week in the afternoons and excited to join their art teacher, Mrs. Guida!
