What is a School psychologists?
A school psychologists helps students succeed academically, socially, and emotionally. They collaborate with educators, parents, students, and other professionals to help create safe, healthy, and supportive learning environments for all students.
What I do as a school psychologist?
As a school psychologist I work with students, parents, teachers, and other professionals for students who may be experiencing academic, behavioral, and/or socials issues. While consulting with all individuals involved I am trying to strengthen the relationship with home, school, and the students to help create a positive learning environment.
Some of my responsibilities include: serving on Response to Interventions teams, chairing CSE/CPSE meetings, helping create 504 accommodation Plans, completing psycho-educational evaluations, Functional Behavioral Assessments/Behavior Intervention Plans, and providing information to staff and parents.
