    Services         The Child & Family Support Program of the Mental Health Association of Erie County, Inc. has meetings for parents, grandparents and foster parents who are raising a child who has emotional and/or behavioral problems. The group meetings present a wonderful opportunity to talk, listen and learn about issues and feelings involved in raising a child with serious emotional or behavioral problems. Childcare is available at meetings (call ahead).

    Services        GLYS offers a variety of opportunities and services for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgendered and questioning youth and their friends, ages 14-21.

    Erie County Department of Probation


    Services    Probation is an alternative to incarceration which permits offenders to live and work in the community, support their families, receive rehabilitative services and make restitution to its victims.


    PINS Diversion   The program is designed to meet the needs of youths under the age of 18 years and their families to defer the youths from entering the PINS system by front loading the family with services and interventions to aid in stabilizing the family unit. The program provides a 60 to 90 day intervention designed to empower parents through training, support and referrals to local programs in an attempt to stabilize the family and defer from the PINS system. It is the role of the parent to take the necessary steps to provide for their youths and show diligence as their role as a parent.
