Spectacular Snowshoeing with Science Club
Written by:Erin Dlabola & Amanda Doucette
On January 29th, West Senior's science club led by Miss McDermid visited Reinstein Woods to go snowshoeing. Students as well as faculty had fun observing nature and wildlife of Western New York. They were given a guided tour through the beautiful winter landscape. They even saw some deer and a beaver's house! At first, maintaining balance with the snowshoes was difficult, there were a few instances when some students did take a tumble into the snow, but soon they got the hang of it. All in all, they had an enjoyable time and it was a great learning experience. They hope to visit the woods again soon.
