  • Mancuso’s Rules of Order

     

     

    1.    Expectations

    a.    It is your job to know and follow the rules of order and the posted code of conduct for the classroom.

    b.    It is your job to work to the very best of your ability so      that you may learn.

    c.    It is your job to ask questions and talk to the teacher when you are confused or have a problem.

                                             d.    It is my job to teach and assist you in learning.

         e.   It is my job to provide a positive classroom and  

               learning environment.

    PLEASE NOTE:      I promise that I will do my job to the best of my ability.  In order for you to be successful, you must also do your job. If there is a problem, or you are confused, please see me! I cannot help if I do not know there is a problem!

     

    2.    Behavior Policy:

        a.   Students who fail to follow the posted code of conduct

               will earn a strike.

        b.    Students who earn 3 strikes within a week will be

               awarded a detention.

     

    PLEASE NOTE:

     

    I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO ASSIGN DETENTION WHEN I FEEL IT IS WARRANTED, REGARDLESS OF STRIKES!

    3. Power Pass

    a.     All students will receive a power pass with 10 squares       every quarter.

    b.     Power passes may be used if the student needs to go to his / her locker or to get a drink.

    c.     Once the ten squares are used up, the student will not   be allowed to leave the room without penalty. (Please note: I reserve the right to make exceptions to this rule in an emergency situation)

    d.      If a power pass has been unused, the student will receive one point extra credit on the final quarterly average.

    4. Bonus Squares

    a.      Bonus squares will be earned through class participation and correctly answering trivia questions. Bonus squares will equal extra credit points averaged in at the end of the quarter.
