Grade 6 Reading

  • Some important things to know for this year:

    1. Always have a book with you. You should never be "bored" or have nothing to do.  If you ever need help finding a book that fits your interest, come talk to me or Mrs. Wrobel in the library.

    2. Students should read at home nightly (including weekends.)  Studies have shown that the more kids read, the higher level thinkers they are.  Fluency, accuracy, comprehension and interpretation are all attributed to reading nightly.

    3. Remember to select a book that is at your lexile reading level.  Reading a book that is too difficult can leave you frustrated and a book that is too simple won't challenge your mind.
